Lithographs
“Sea Horse” (2016), is an original lithographic print. It was created by using a “mezzotint” technique, where the image is drawn reductively by bringing highlights out from a black background. The image is developed by scraping and using deletion tools to remove layers of tone from a black printing base on a limestone matrix.
The image was printed from one stone in an edition of 36. The image size is 10 ¾ x 8 inches. It was printed on Japanese Okawara paper, torn to 12 x 8 ½ inches.
