“Luna Moth” (2016), is an original lithographic print. It was created by using a “mezzotint” technique, where the image is drawn reductively by bringing highlights out from a black background. The image is developed by scraping and using deletion tools to remove layers of tone from a black printing base.
The image was printed from one stone in an edition of 18. The image size is 12 x 8 ¼ inches. It was printed on Japanese Kitakata cream paper, torn to 16 x 10 ¼ inches.
